KEA Design Labs was approached by a renowned pharmaceutical company to reimagine the interiors of their 80-year-old guest house in Rishikesh. Inspired by the concept of Sattva – meaning purity, the design reflects a seamless blend of modern minimalism and ethnic elegance. The interiors emphasize openness, simplicity, and functionality, with a carefully curated palette of natural materials like oak veneer for furniture and doors, stucco-textured walls, and yellow Jaisalmer stone flooring to infuse warmth and vibrancy.
Traditional Pichwai paintings were introduced to celebrate the local culture, adding bright accents to the otherwise understated interiors. Custom-designed furniture with clean, straight lines complemented the overall aesthetic, while a thoughtful layering of ambient, task, and accent lighting enhanced the atmosphere.
The guest house was transformed into a calming, welcoming retreat, reflecting purity, comfort, and timeless elegance—perfectly aligned with the serene spirit of Rishikesh.
